Some are more technical, some add gameplay challenges and some offer tools for map makers. The JourneyMap mod also has Pixelmon support in that you can set the map icons for Pokémon to display their respective sprites.Īnd of course there's our sidemods, which add additional functionality to your game. Other biome mods are generally also compatible, but need some config editing. Speaking of which, Pixelmon natively supports Biomes O' Plenty, Traverse and RealWorld with spawns all set up and ready to go.
MineAtlas is good for that as long as you don't use any mods that add biomes to the Overworld. With this installed, you will see Pixelmon spawns within the Biomes added by BoP. Apart from that, you may want to choose a seed beforehand to make sure you're not stuck between 10 deserts, maybe have a village nearby or something. Biomes O'Plenty - Pixelmon has always loved what BoP brings to the Minecraft world, and we have done our best to allow for integration with this mod. You have the option of starting a world with a bonus chest (Vanilla feature), which will also include a handful of Pixelmon items to get you going. Of course you can always adjust things to your liking.
The config defaults are set to what we feel would appeal most to the majority of players, so that's generally what we'd recommend.
